  • All visitors must park in the visitors parking lot. There is no parking or driving to unload your belongings at the beach.  The beach area is about a half mile from the parking lot so be prepared to walk that distance with your belongings. There are no picnic facilities at Locust Lake, however picnic areas are available at Tuscarora State Park approximately 6 miles from Locust lake.

  • Contrary to the information on Google, Pennsylvania state parks are open every day of the year. Day use areas close at dusk. Park offices are open specific hours. Pools, beaches, and campgrounds are open specific seasons.

Park Description

Known for its popular camping area, Locust Lake State Park nestles on the side of Locust Mountain. The 52-acre Locust Lake is located between two campgrounds and is surrounded by beautiful forests. Hiking and fishing are popular activities in the 1,772-acre park.
