  • The fountain at Point State Park was turned on April 14, 2017, and is expected to run daily through the season, which is scheduled to end on Veteran's Day, weather permitting. Please check our website and Facebook page for updates regarding cleaning or weather-related closures.

  • The accessible kayak launch in Point State Park is scheduled to be installed for the season in early May. This advisory will be updated when the launch has been installed and is ready for use.

  • Contrary to the information on Google, Pennsylvania state parks are open every day of the year. Day use areas close at dusk. Park offices are open specific hours. Pools, beaches, and campgrounds are open specific seasons.

Park Description

Point State Park, located at the confluence of three rivers, is at the tip of Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle.” It commemorates and preserves the strategic and historic heritage of the area during the French and Indian War (1754 - 1763).
