The Doylestown Bike and Hike Trail System has had an active Committee for the past 23 years and boasts an impressive 26 miles of trails throughout Doylestown and the surrounding municipalities. In 2014, the Destination Peace Valley trail was completed, with the goal of reaching Peace Valley Park becoming a not-so-distant reality. All of the trails within this system are paved and open to walkers, hikers and bicyclists. They are plowed in the winter, after local roads are cleared of snow. The trails provide an attractive means of leisure and recreation as well as a practical method for reaching shopping centers, schools, colleges, the Doylestown Hospital, local parks, and various other businesses and work places.
