Trail Description

The Ridley Creek State Park Trail system is located in Media Borough in Delaware County. Just 17 miles from Philadelphia, it is an accessible getaway for inner-city dwellers. It consists of 4 smaller trails, the largest of which is 4.5 miles long and called the multi-use trail because of the variety of activities that it supports. Visitors can do very ambitious activities such as cross-country skiing or more relaxing activities such as fly fishing. The trails also contain 13 picnic areas with fire pits and beautiful waterfalls. Large campsites, which can accommodate up to 80 people, make the area a popular spot for boy and girl scouts. The other three trails, the white, yellow and blue trails, are smaller footpaths used mainly for walking. The trails begin at the Jeffords Mansion Office and continue on to intertwine.
