Trail Description

Take a self-guided tour in the Elk State Forest. Learn about forest management practices, tree identification, insects, and diseases, while you hike through a “working forest” on a self-guided tour. Along the way, you will see northern hardwood forests, pine plantations, oak forests, and old logging practices as you follow the trail. The Sizerville Nature Trail is located within the Elk State Forest, in Cameron County, between the towns of Emporium and Port Allegheny on SR 155, across from the campgrounds at Sizerville State Park. From the parking area follow the old logging road to your left to point #1.
